The auction is a fund-raising event to help re-elect Ken Livingstone as Mayor of London. It is also a measure of many artists support for the cultural achievements of his administration. All money raised will go towards helping Ken's bid to be re elected as Mayor.
Auction
Auctioneer Chris Knapton will open and close the bidding, at reserve prices where requested by the artist. The buyer shall be the highest bidder acceptable to the auctioneer and the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion to settle any dispute. The auctioneer has the right to refuse any bid and to advance the bidding at his absolute discretion. The auctioneer will announce the bidding procedure at the start of the auction. Bidders will be recognised by the auctioneer from their bidder identification number - which will be raised at bidding.
Payment
Bid payments must be cleared before the collection of lots. Works purchased on the night can be taken immediately or if paid for by cheque please phone: 020 3206 0008 or mobile: 07734 006 327 at the Aquarium to arrange collection from Tuesday March 11 onwards.
In compliance with political party funding laws, purchases of more than £200 will be classed as a donation to the Labour Party. Donors must be:
- individuals on the current UK electoral register, or
- companies incorporated in the EU and registered and trading in the UK, or
- limited liability partnerships, carrying on business in the UK
- an unincorporated association, or
- a registered trade union
- Donations of more than £5,000 in the 2008 calendar year from the same donor are required to be reported to the Electoral Commission and the donor's name and the amount published on Electoral Commission website.

All bidders have to be eligible to vote in UK elections and be on the UK electoral register. All bidders must provide their permanent UK address which appears on the register.
